De Castelli presents the new products born from the Ordita research: a collection of works of art that embodies the company’s ongoing exploration of materials and finishes. Through this research, each individual element contributes to the creation of a harmonious composition, where beauty becomes a structural component and material itself emerges as the undisputed protagonist.
The new products stem from the 2025 Ordita research, which has resulted in six new surfaces — DeChiné, DeBatì, DeTubé, DeSequì, DePiqué, and DeCramé — reinterpreting textile tradition through metal craftsmanship.
Developed in collaboration with textile designer Evelina Antuono, the project marks the encounter between the solidity of metal and the lightness of fabric, giving rise to an unprecedented dialogue between matter and memory.
Thanks to the synergy between fine craftsmanship and advanced technology, De Castelli continues a process of experimentation in which metal becomes malleable, almost organic.
The result is a series of true works of art that transcend their functional purpose, acquiring a distinct poetic and expressive value. The finishes, conceived as a true aesthetic signature, do not merely clad surfaces; they express an artisanal know-how shaped by research, experimentation, and a profound sensitivity to material.
The six Ordita surfaces clad both existing catalogue products and new works of art, opening unprecedented scenarios of application across various geometries and design languages.
The works — Pandora, Brame, Millerighe, Filigrana, and Papier — are thus part of this journey as different expressions of a single research, one that invites experimentation and expands the expressive possibilities of matter.
In a poetic and emotionally resonant dialogue with Jocelyn Yang and Tiffany Liao, De Castelli explores the design philosophy behind the new decorative system Floem.
