De Castelli and Mistral, two Italian excellences in the field of design and materials, announce their collaboration with Sale, an installation that will debut at the upcoming edition of Lineapelle, scheduled from February 25 to 27 at Milano RhoFiera. With Sale, De Castelli and Mistral offer a unique vision, where different materials intertwine in a dance of finishes, reflections, and textures.
The project, curated by architect Maurizio Molini, explores the hybridization of leather and metal, both symbols of Italian craftsmanship, and draws inspiration from the poetic encounter between the ever-changing surface of the sea and the endless shades of the Mediterranean scrub. This vision is translated into a unique combination that evokes the sophistication of Venetian damask, reinterpreted through technological innovation and decorative elegance.
Sale is the result of multiple layers: on the refined leather of Mistral, a company that represents Tuscan transformative mastery worldwide, is applied a design of rhomboid brass tiles, elaborated with De Castelli’s exclusive DeLabré finish, which enhances the surface and amplifies the dialogue between art, design, and innovation.
De Castelli, globally recognized for having introduced design in metalworking and a symbol of Italian design culture, brings to this project the legacy of four generations of master artisans. Its mastery in blending craftsmanship with cutting-edge industrial processes has forged a new design language that reimagines the role of metal in art and architecture, making this collaboration a true celebration of Italian excellence.
