Villa Fürstenberg in Venice Mestre
On the occasion of Made in Italy Day 2026, held at Villa Fürstenberg in Venice Mestre, De Castelli participated in a study day dedicated to the role of high craftsmanship in creating cultural and economic value. The event brought together stories that portray an Italy of excellence deeply rooted in its local territories: tangible expressions of a beauty shaped by craftsmanship, care, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Organized in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture, the study day focused on the latest edition of Economia della Bellezza, a project by Banca Ifis that investigates how Italian companies and artisans transform materials through expertise, sensitivity, and the transmission of craftsmanship traditions.
During the panel discussion “Governare l’Eccellenza: un modello per l’alto artigianato” (“Governing Excellence: a Model for High Craftsmanship”), De Castelli shared its perspective on an ongoing dialogue with matter, where artisanal knowledge is continually reinterpreted as a contemporary language.
The reflection on the role of high craftsmanship also finds resonance in INSIEME, the exhibition curated by Sabato De Sarno during Milan Design Week 2026 as part of Archivio Italia by Vanity Fair Italia, with Banca Ifis as main partner. Here, craftsmanship, culture, and enterprise converge in a shared vision of beauty — authentic, expressive, and deeply rooted in Italian identity.
The special collaboration between Antonio Marras and De Castelli presented at De Castelli gallery in Milan.
