GalleryThe new De Castelli showroom embodies the essence of the company’s production universe, based on continuous, precise research aimed at unlocking the full structural and expressive potential of metals. It is a space designed for connections, a home where people are welcomed—yet it also serves as a bridge to the company’s headquarters. It’s a fragment of what can be brought to Milan to offer a glimpse, far from the site of production, of what De Castelli creates and what it is capable of achieving.

In the new showroom, the number of rooms reflects the structure of De Castelli’s creative journey: the company designs furnishings that form part of an ever-evolving collection, as well as surfaces and cladding systems where metals and their distinctive finishes are expressed to their fullest potential. It is also a workshop, a space for collaboration with architects and designers on bespoke projects, developed together in constant dialogue with the production process.

The showroom is a celebration of De Castelli’s refined craftsmanship—a craftsmanship that works with natural materials with profound knowledge, culture, and respect. Even the ambient sound is carefully designed, with a soundscape that subtly weaves in the evocative rhythms and textures of the factory floor.

“The large historic doorway of the 17th-century building will remain permanently open. Beyond it, a second portal made of glass and brass will welcome visitors into a carefully choreographed spatial sequence. Here, fixed and movable furnishings, all crafted from metals of varying compositions and finishes, will stand as living examples of De Castelli’s mastery in technique and surface treatment.

The interior design is not merely a backdrop for showcasing products and activities, but rather a true interactive ‘staging’ of the potential that emerge from collaboration between designers and the company. It is a think tank where design imagination, artisanal expertise, and ongoing technological research come together to generate new and original creations.”
