De Castelli Milan Gallery
For Salone del Mobile 2025, De Castelli presents Ordita, a collection of metal surfaces which transform the act of hand weaving into a new textural expression. Working with textile designer Evelina Antuono, this project unites the solidity of metal and the lightness of fabric.
Through innovation and research, the three-dimensional weaves of the six new surfaces in the collection turn metal finishes into a visual and tactile story, an ode to textile traditions and the artisan savoir-faire of San Leucio, the renowned 18th-century manufacturing town near Naples and its ability to unite art and industry.

Thanks to the synergy between technology and craftsmanship, De Castelli advances an experimental process in which metal becomes malleable and almost organic. Oxidation, hammering and satin finishes create dynamic surfaces in which reflections and textures evolve into a multi-sensory experience.
Salone del Mobile 2025 offers the opportunity to discover this innovative collection in the De Castelli showroom, where the Ordita finishes will cover special works designed for the spaces in Via Visconti di Modrone.

Ordita is an invitation to explore new design perspectives, ones in which research and innovation intertwine to redefine the aesthetic of metal. De Castelli once again confirms its dedication to material research, inventing new expressive possibilities for the future of Italian and international design.
Ordita comes in six new surfaces: DeChiné, DeBatì, DeTubé, DeSequì, DePiqué and DeCramé.
