HOST Milano
The precious surfaces of De Castelli encounter the technological know-how of Silko: the result is Pi, the new monoblock kitchen designed by V12, which will be unveiled at the HOST Milano fair. This collaboration brings together De Castelli and Silko to combine artisanal excellence, design, and Made in Italy innovation, with the goal of enhancing — through De Castelli’s distinctive metals and finishes — the high-performance products of Silko, renowned for professional kitchens and catering equipment.
The concept was born from the dialogue between Vincenzo Marrone and Valerio Cometti’s V12 Design studio, where design and vision merge to shape a new project experience.
The Pi monoblock kitchen is designed to offer chefs outstanding reliability and operational efficiency, combining high performance with refined design thanks to De Castelli’s special brass front panels. The exclusive texture features a custom finish created through an erosion process that engraves a graphic motif inspired by Pi (π) onto the brass surface — a distinctive symbol that defines the design of the various components.
Together, the two brands have redefined the form, function, and aesthetic impact of the product, making it ideal for high-end restaurant settings, where kitchens are increasingly placed in full view as a gesture of transparency and sharing, allowing guests to witness the preparation process and highlighting the chefs’ artistry, turning the ritual of food into an engaging and spectacular culinary art experience.
