Ornamentum, De Castelli’s latest research which explores the versatility of the erosion technique will be exhibited by @ Boffi | DePadova in Paris. The collection of 31 works revisits the essence of decoration and merges knowledge of chemistry, mechanics and art history, inviting viewers on an introspective journey where past and future converge in design.
De Castelli’s research traces its roots back to the indirect etching technique of acquaforte and the craftsmanship of 16th-century Swiss goldsmiths, reinterpreted through the company’s specific and advanced expertise.
Incorporating lettering, optical graphics and organic storytelling, the panels offer personal interpretations of the erosion technique by the 31 participating designers, coming together to form a constellation of eclectic and multifaceted signs. The DeErosion brass panels are framed within a DeLabré B stainless steel structure.
