Caleide Eon by De Castelli, designed by Federica Cammarota, has been honored with the 2025 Archiproducts Design Award, one of the most prestigious recognitions in the international design world. Presented alongside the finest creations in the industry, Caleide Eon reveals the full expressive potential of metal through a multitude of forms, finishes, and reflections, embodying a dialogue between geometry and material and demonstrating how design can continually reinvent itself to tell new stories of creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation.
The Archiproducts Design Award recognizes products that distinguish themselves through innovation, quality, and a forward-thinking design vision. This year, the international jury, comprising esteemed architects and designers, awarded Caleide Eon for its masterful balance of material experimentation and aesthetic sophistication, a creation that embodies the cutting edge of contemporary design.
Caleide harmoniously entwines light and metal. Each lamp takes shape via unique geometric compositions which give rise to a multitude of expressions. Steel, brass and copper alternate in oxidised and brushed finishes, enriched by an interplay of forms which elevate the slender circular metal sheet which encapsulates the light source in a polychromatic mosaic, a canvas which stimulates the senses of the observer. At the centre of the lamp, a blown frosted glass orb diffuses direct yet delicate light as it reverberates upon the metal surface, exalting tones and shades.
The Sustainability Report summarizes the constant dialogue and engagement that De Castelli has initiated with its various stakeholders.
