Blue Copper Loft is a private residence transformed into an ‘urbane sanctum‘. Located in the heart of metropolitan Dubai and set over two floors, Blue Copper Loft has been creatively reimagined into an open duplex space with a single gallery bedroom. The main body of the stair structure, hidden from view behind a De Castelli custom made wall cladding, is an avant grade architectural insertion.
Completely clad in copper in a verdigris finishing, this elemental form creates the art backdrop to the dining area, the shear wall to the staircase, the cantilevered bridge connection and defining balustrade.
The distinctive metamorphic capacities of metal create their own stylistic patterns even on the simplest of monochrome surfaces. The possibilities offered by the Scomposta and Boiserie wall covering systems ensure a range of highly flexible compositional solutions and meet the needs of those seeking truly original expressive possibilities of the highest quality. Comprising panels of different sizes, the two systems are fully customizable. With the Scomposta system, the panels are mounted onto wall racks. For Boiserie, it is possible to install wooden or aluminum panels covered with De Castelli materials. Whatever the solution chosen by the designer, both systems allow maximum compositional freedom to ennoble surfaces of any size.
