De Castelli finishes are the result of an artisanal process that accelerates the natural oxidation of metal, combining advanced technologies with refined manual techniques, a know-how passed down over more than four generations.

It is important to note that slight variations in tone and homogeneity compared to the sample on display should not be considered defects, but rather a testament to the value of artisanal craftsmanship, which does not guarantee identical and repeatable reproduction, especially for creations made at different times.

Finishing Process

The finishing process is the production phase that most distinguishes a De Castelli product or project and is carried out as the final step. As a result, the aesthetic outcome and feasibility depend on the geometry of the item. Specifically, a finish applied to three-dimensional surfaces can differ substantially from flat surfaces.

Upon completion of the finishing operations, a transparent protective varnish halts the oxidation process, preserving the metal’s appearance over time, provided that proper cleaning and maintenance instructions are followed. The final result becomes permanent: the form and structure of the piece can no longer be modified.

Authenticity

Each product or project created by De Castelli is accompanied, upon delivery, by an authenticity document, which guarantees its originality, quality, and innovation, certifying the brand’s authorship and the artisanal value of the finish and production process.

Applications

De Castelli does not provide semi-finished products such as oxidized metal sheets in finish, but offers a complete design and custom production service, creating furniture elements, cladding, and tailored solutions.

Usage

The proposed finishes are ideal for indoor surfaces, with the exception of environments such as shower boxes or areas in direct contact with water. External applications are possible, subject to verification and confirmation of suitability by De Castelli technical office.

Important Notes

The images of the samples are to be considered purely indicative, as it is not possible to guarantee a printed reproduction that is entirely faithful to the original. The images may be enlarged or reduced to better highlight the details of the finish. It is always recommended to consult physical samples when placing an order.

For cleaning and maintenance only use a cotton cloth dampened with water or specific neutral products (with a PH between 6,8 and 7,2) for varnished surfaces. Do not use abrasive cloths, solvents, alcohol or strong detergents (such as anti-limescale products or bleach). Dry the surface thoroughly in case of standing water.
