GLYPHĒ | Timeless signs of metals
GLYPHĒ is the culmination of De Castelli’s latest research, which involved refining and reinterpreting the ancient technique of metal forging through experimental methods.
Complex and layered processes are applied to brass, which now has a thickness that can be moulded under the combined action of fire and pressure to create a modern aesthetic that exudes elegance and sophistication.
An unprecedented topographical design emerges, featuring unusual patterns, landscape-like effects and impressive geological maps. Thus, surfaces and pieces of furniture are embellished with unique signs, traces, and other distinctive imprints, which are enhanced and sculpted using various treatments.

Metal welcomes an archaic imprint, shaped through deformation under the force of fire and the action of man, that guards the secrets of forging by reinterpreting them in a contemporary key.
The outcome of the new GLYPHĒ research was unveiled at the Salone del Mobile from 17 to 23 April 2023.
