De Castelli participates in Populus Alba, a poetic installation by Studio Formafantasma in collaboration with philosopher Emanuele Coccia
De Castelli’s brass gives a voice to the trees on Venice’s Island of Certosa through the Populus Alba installation, created by Formafantasma and Emanuele Coccia for the BioGrounds project curated by Domitilla Dardi for the MAXXI National Museum of 21st Century Arts. The installation’s protagonist is a poplar tree that becomes a talking tree: its voice resonates and amplifies through special metal devices as visitors bring their smartphone in proximity to the tree.
