Private Villa

The villa, originally designed by the architect Tommaso Buzzi (Sondrio 1900 - Rapallo1981), a literary and humanistic personality, overlooks the fascinating “Golfo Paradiso”. Designers and clients have developed the restructuring initiative with the aim of consolidating the vertical and horizontal transparencies, intrinsic to the original design, but also with the specific intention of creating new ones, using a Socratic path, aimed at enhancing the pronounced peculiarities of the Ligurian coast and the potential of the specific context where the Villa is located. The elements in steel and glass were dreamed, designed and manufactured, searching the highest transparency, considering the need of advanced technical performances. Staircase and flooring were made entirely of natural black metal, characterized by special color effects, creating a strong chromatic contrast with the concrete and the white walls. A sculpture staircase, where each step is illuminated by a LED light, highlighting the brilliance and the nuances of the material. Large sheet metal panels hanging from the wall and joining the scale emphasize the feeling of lightness and suspension.
